Extrusion Operator

Coveris is a leading global manufacturer, creating high performance and technically engineered packaging solutions. At our Winsford site, we produce polythene film for a range of established customers across multiple industries including agricultural, industrial, and food based. We are looking for hard-working and motivated individuals to join our production operations team in or Blown Extrusion and Stretch Extrusion departments.

Job Description

Shifts; 4 on, 4 off (2x days 7am-7pm / 2nights 7pm-7am), on average 14 shifts per month

Salary; Starting at £31,175.20 per year

Holidays; 20 per year

As an Extrusion Operator, you will play an essential role by efficiently operate blown film extruders, ensuring consistent production as per customer, quality and H&S standards.

Progression is available and encouraged with opportunities to further your career through a grading system. You will receive full training for the Extrusion Operator role in our thorough induction and 13-week training period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the production of polythene film products to the required customer specification on production line(s).
  • Completion of order and blend changes.
  • Carry out and accurately record quality control checks, taking remedial action where required.
  • Working to work tickets and job specification sheets, and accurately completing all production-related controlled documents, ensuring compliance to customer requirements and quality standards.
  • Ensure finished product packaging is completed to specification and sufficient for customer expectation.
  • Maintenance of housekeeping and hygiene standards.
  • Completion of duties in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
  • Completion of ad-hoc duties to meet the needs of the business, subject to appropriate training.
