Coveris is a leading European packaging company that manufactures flexible packaging solution for some of the world’s most respected brands. The company develops packaging that protects all types of products from food to pet food, from medical devices to industrial and agricultural products. Coveris Bialystok has currently about 88 employees. The Application Engineer will report to the local Managing Director and to the Director of Innovation – Europe.

The role includes:

•    Support the sales team in product development projects starting from understanding of the customer requirements, provide the information related to the product design, establish control plan, follow trials linked to customer trails or project trials, once approved define the product specification in collaboration with the quality team to define the final control plan,
•    Qualify suppliers by defining the right structure where to test the new raw material, provide technical definition what to measure / test and follow approval process according to the procedure in place,
•    Identify and propose cost reduction programs via product optimization, define the key innovation projects in collaboration with the internal teams and drive their execution,
•    Provide technical support to the customers, resolving technical issues/complaints, participate in customer events, ensure regular reporting of corrective actions,
•    Develop and share plant know-how via the Coveris Network.

Our expectations:

•  Engineering degree in Chemistry, Polymers, Plastics or Packaging,
•  Solid track of record of working experience in the coating, lamination business, flexible packaging or in an environment characterized by similar technologies,
•  Strong technical expertise in key applications combined with high technical knowledge,
•  Experience in MS Office and CRM tools,
•  Strong communication skills, and high level of self-organization and teamwork,
•  Fluent English language skills,
•  Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
