Coveris is a leading European packaging company that manufactures flexible packaging solution for some of the world’s most respected brands. The company develops packaging that protects all types of products from food to pet food, from medical devices to industrial and agricultural products. In 2020, Coveris acquired a Hungarian company, a specialist in high-quality flexible packaging solutions for the food industry and thus was formed Coveris Pirtó, located in the center of Hungary. The company offers modern inhouse capabilities including extrusion, state-of-the-art flexo printing, lamination and converting services to the CEE market.

At present, we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager (m/w/d) who would join our leadership team in Pirtó. The Finance Manager will report to Finance Director BU Flexibles, located in Vienna and the local Managing Director in Pirtó.

The role includes:

  • Financial responsibility for the income statement and for the reporting of the location,
  • In-depth analysis and timing of sales and margins per customer, product group and market,
  • Run analysis and challenge production results and performance, production costs and cost variances of the site,
  • Reporting the site's plant results to plant management, corporate operations management and corporate controlling,
  • Implementation of annual planning (e.g. budgets, investments and cost projects), quarterly forecasts and ad-hoc analyses and forecasts,
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate controlling and accounting standards as well as operational processes,
  • Analysis of strategic projects and provision of financial expertise and advice to ensure the achievement of set goals,
  • Leading participation in the development of strategic alternatives, their evaluation and implementation,
  • Strong business partner and financial conscience of the entire location,
  • Drive continuous process improvements in all administrative areas.

Our expectations:

  • You have successfully completed your business studies with a focus on controlling and/or accounting,
  • You have strong record of professional experience in controlling in a production company, preferably also experience in sales controlling in addition,
  • Strong knowledge in the preparation of financial statements according to local GAP and IFRS,
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English,
  • You are a good negotiator with strong communication skills and demonstrated leadership experience,
  • Good command of MS Office,
  • You have strong analytical skills and drive to initiate and implement necessary changes,
  • You are a self-starter and can organize priorities for you and your team.
