Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The SMM serves that function by ensuring our customers are getting the right service and products, specific to their needs. This role requires a good understanding of consultative sales, solution and interdisciplinary collaboration experience are a must to be successful. The role is responsible for developing cross-functional relationships with new and existing customers in a culturally and geographically diverse market. The SMM must have an ability to consistently follow-up and bring multi-year projects to a close, while meeting quarterly and annual performance objectives. The primary role objectives are:
Tasks:
Sales Growth
· Develop and maintain good relationships for given territory (South of Germany, Austria and CEE)
· Manage accounts in territory and share insights and intelligence
· Consistently update and work from customer relationship management (CRM) tool
· Develop new customers and new business to meet territory sales growth objectives
· Follow up quickly on marketing leads generated, ensure consistent messages and needs are addressed when leads are routed
· Promote company products and capabilities via customer meetings, industry exhibitions and technical seminars
· Attend regional association meetings, networking and become member as necessary to expand Coveris’s presence in the region
· Interface regularly with commercial and PDTS leaders regarding new product and new market opportunities
· Identify target accounts and create a strategy for closing new business in the region
· Uncover price targets and competitive information for the region
Key Account Maintenance
· Understand the customer’s market, financial results, and buying cycles
· Manage key account forecasts and assist with forecast and budget process
· Capture and communicate competitor activities / understand share of wallet
· Maintain great customer relationships and maintain high level of customer satisfaction at all levels
· Maintain marketing databases including lead follow up and maintenance from existing accounts
· Communicate customer specifications and requirements to our organization
Required Qualifications:
· Background in Marketing, Sales, General Business, Engineering, preferred in the medical device or pharmaceutical packaging industry.
· 4+ years of successful business development experience required
· A record of building great customer relationships
· Strong presentation skills required
· Strong negotiating and closing skills
· Computer and business writing competency
· Ability to travel 30-50% of the time internationally
· Languages: Business German and English. A real pré would also be Polish, Czech or Hungarian.
