We have facilities across the UK and are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Burnley.
Key responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative:
- To feed production with all relevant materials for the shift
- Print dept Kanban areas, Lam dept Kanban areas, Slitting dept Kanban areas, WIP material from Warehouse
- To assist with movement of WIP material and finished goods (FG) from Production
- WIP material to be moved to warehouse wherever indicated by Planning department and WIP Locator system to be updated for every WIP movement in and out of the warehouse
- FG pallets to be wrapped and labelled
- Pallets to be located down the appropriate gangways in the warehouse and/or put away into specific warehouse locations
- Administrative tasks to be completed in regard to movement of materials e.g. transfer sheets to be completed
- Raw materials to be returned to stock (RTS) from Production
- RTS reels to be weighed, wrapped and labelled
- SYSPRO transactions and recoding onto RTS sheet required
- Out of hours despatches
- Assist with co-ordinating dedicated couriers outside of standard office hours
- Deliveries in
- To assist unloading raw material deliveries and check goods against delivery note provided by supplier
- Prepare labels for each pallet accordingly and assist with locating in relevant racking space
- Syspro transactions required to record movements
- Picking (Despatches Out)
- Despatches to be picked against picking notes provided by Despatch Administrator
- Assist with loading pallets for despatch onto the relevant transport
- Working environment
- Assist when required with general upkeep and tidiness of Warehouse area, including full yard area
Shift Pattern: The attractive shift pattern involves working a mix of 12-hour day and night shifts working an average of 14 shifts per month.
Role requirements:
- Experience of using reach and counterbalance trucks highly desirable
- Good attendance and timekeeping
- Experience of working in a warehouse environment essential
- Flexible and reliable
- Good attention to detail
