ROLE PURPOSE
To oversee and facilitate processes within the SHE (Health & Safety) department and provide thorough administrative support of SHE functions at the Gainsborough Site. Reporting to and working closely with the SHE Manager, you will provide critical assistance in accordance with UK legislation and strict adherence to Health & Safety guidelines.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- SHE Administration: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance reports.
- Inductions: Deliver health, safety, and environmental inductions for new employees and contractors.
- Training Coordination: Organise and track SHE training, ensuring employees maintain up-to-date qualifications.
- Incident Reporting: Assist in recording, monitoring, and supporting investigations of incidents and near misses.
- Audits & Inspections: Support SHE audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Legislative Compliance: Help ensure company policies align with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Safety Culture: Actively support initiatives that promote a strong safety culture across the organisation.
- Contractor control documentation: Support with documentation, management of contractors and issuing authority to works.

Essential -
- A genuine interest in building a career within SHE.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and safety-conscious mindset.
- Willingness to work towards a NEBOSH Certificate (fully supported by the company).
Desirable -
- Any previous experience in a SHE-related role or an understanding of health and safety principles.
- Knowledge of SHE legislation and compliance requirements.
This role is 100% office based, Mon-Fri 08:30-17:00.
