Your Primary Role

Coveris is a leading international manufacturer of film, flexibles, labels and board packaging solutions. We help to reduce waste and constantly work on new, high performance and sustainable packaging solutions. Our Gainsborough site produce high quality print film solutions for suppliers of  packaged food to many of the major supermarkets in the UK.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and control print quality
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are adhered to (e.g. PPE, health and safety, hygiene, quality)
  • Complete all related paperwork and input data onto Prism / Shoplogix accurately to ensure print quality checks can be carried out, as per training given
  • Ensure press speeds are always optimised
  • Follow SOPs at all times ensuring that defective quality material does not reach the customer
  • Working with and contributing to Continuous improvement activity across site
  • Provide holiday cover in line with production agreement, and provide sickness cover where possible
  • Ensure effective shift handover is carried out
  • Maintain good housekeeping including 5s auditing

Ideal Candidate:

  •     Good attendance and timekeeping
  •     Knowledge of flexographic printing process
  •     Ability to problem solve
  •         Ability to work with minimal supervision
  •      Knowledge of Prism / Shoplogix
  •      Good organisational and self-motivational skills
  •      High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday Working (Seasonal Saturdays paid as overtime apply in May, June & July)
  • We operate an alternating 3 shift rotation consisting of 36 hours days 36 hours nights and 48 hours mixed days and nights.
  • 12 hour days (6-6) and 12 hour nights(6-6) averaging 40 hours per week.
