Print Assistant

Coveris Gainsborough is a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging solutions, supplying high-quality products to some of the UK's best-known brands. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Print Assistant to join our Print Department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within manufacturing. Previous flexographic printing experience is beneficial.

 

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with the Printer, you'll help ensure the print press operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of the print press to maximise efficiency and performance
  • Monitoring and controlling print press ancillary support areas
  • Ensuring the Printer has the support needed to achieve machine KPIs
  • Monitoring the press during periods when the Printer is away from the machine
  • Completing quality documentation and production records accurately using Prism
  • Carrying out quality checks in line with standard operating procedures
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and supporting 5S activities
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Providing holiday and sickness cover where required
  • Ensuring effective communication and handovers between shifts
  • Following all health, safety, hygiene and quality procedures

We're looking for someone who:

  • Possesses strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Can work independently and take initiative
  • Has good organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Is self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Has knowledge of flexographic printing processes (desirable but not essential)
  • Has experience using Prism systems (advantageous)
