Warehouse Operative

Coveris Gainsborough are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our Warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.

 

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for:

Ensure day to day requirements of end-to-end warehouse logistics from raw materials and goods-in, to supply production and finally dispatch of finished goods to our large customer network.

  • Intake and unloading of raw material.
  • Storage of material in racking
  • Transport of goods between the warehouse into our production environments
  • Loading finished goods for customer dispatch
  • Collate orders to customer requirements with high level of accuracy.
  • Maintaining and controlling warehouse stock levels
  • Working to tight schedules and deadlines to support customer requirement.
  • Carrying out general housekeeping duties across the warehouse
  • Following and adhering to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
  • Ensuring effective shift handovers to maintain operational continuity
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards, including participation in 5S audits

What we're looking for

The successful candidate will:

  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Experience of using reach and counterbalance trucks highly desirable
  • Forklift, Reach or VNA certificate - preferred but training can be given to update.
  • Have previous warehouse experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Be safety-conscious and committed to following procedures
  • Have a good eye for detail and strong accuracy levels
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Be flexible and willing to support operational requirements

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday Working (Seasonal Saturdays apply in May, June & July)
  • 12 hour shifts – 6-6 days, 6-6 nights.
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
